3 Fantastic Dessert Places in Grand Blanc, MI

Dessert menus in MIchiganThere’s always room for dessert!  Let’s be honest.  One of the best things about dining out is the dessert menu.  Who has the time to actually make dessert?  Things have changed.  Even full-time moms are constantly on the go.  While everyone has room for dessert, no one has the time to prepare it.  My husband and I are foodies.  We love to cook.  We love to dine out.  We love to eat dessert.  So it is with the utmost confidence that I present to you my choices for 3 great dessert menus in the Grand Blanc, MI area.

  1. Da Edoardo North – Located at 8185 Holly Road in Grand Blanc, Da Edoardo North has an extensive, delectable dessert menu that boasts tasty dessert options and several after dinner drink options.  The perfect ending to your fine dining experience is the Da Edoardo Tiramisu.  Italian Lady Fingers soaked in fine espresso and Tia Maria, layered with mascarpone custard and dusted with cocoa, tiramisu is exceptional especially when served along side a glass of Port or an after-dinner cordial.  Other tasty seasonal desserts accompany the Tiramisu on the Da Edoardo dessert menu earning the restaurant a place in my top 3 dessert restaurants.
  2. Le Grand Bistro – The menu at Grand Blanc’s Le Grand Bistro (12745 South Saginaw, Grand Blanc, MI) changes regularly in order for owner Bernice to express her passion for European foods; but you can be sure that you’ll always find Gelato.  Gelato is a healthier and creamier alternative to American ice cream, which has a higher butterfat and sugar content and is whipped more to add air and volume. In Paris, gelato can be found on every corner but a good Gelato in Michigan is tough to find.  You have to taste the Gelato to understand the richness of the smooth frozen desert. The gelato flavors change regularly, but, since you’ll always find a flavor to love, Le Grand Bistro is one of my top 3 dessert restaurants.
  3. Luca’s Chophouse- A list of great places for dessert would not be complete without Luca’s Chophouse located at 12793 South Saginaw in Grand Blanc.  Where else can you find banana’s foster prepared tableside?  More than a dessert, the banana’s foster is an experience.  As delicious as it is entertaining, the dessert at Luca’s Chophouse is one-of-a-kind, making this fine dining restaurant a staple on any list of great dessert restaurants.

Living in Grand Blanc, MI, I am blessed with many fabulous dessert eateries.  The list of places to find interesting and yummy after dinner treats in Grand Blanc, MI is extensive enough to rival any big city.  Even finicky foodies will find reason to rejoice in the small town atmosphere with big city taste.  I don’t know if Grand Blanc, MI will ever be known throughout the Country as the place to go for dessert, but for my money, there’s no better place to be after dinner.

Grand Blanc’s Da Edoardo’s North is the perfect place to go for a quick getaway

One of the newest members of the Michigan Flavor family is Grand Blanc’s Da Edoardo’s North.  One of Grand Blanc’s finest eateries, Da Edoardo’s has an elegant and quaint atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and a fantastic menu full of phenomenal cuisine.

Da Edoardo’s owners, the Barbieri family, have loaded every dish they serve with the passion and pizzazz handed down to them from grandfather to father and now to them. Their training started at the elbow of their grandfather and father and cultivated to a level of excellence it is today. Da Edoardo’s food is honest, authentic, real and most importantly – delicious.

Da Edoardo North is located in Grand Blanc, MI. Grand Blanc is approximately 30 miles north of Detroit.  Da Edoardo North, overlooking a small lake, is the perfect place to go for a quick getaway. In the summer, the private deck is open for Italian “al fresco” dining.

Da Edoardo Restaurant North is cozy and elegant. The rich wooden bar is perfect for drinks after work or dessert and cordials after the movies, perfect for a romantic date night.  The interior is comfortable and inviting and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Treat yourself to Da Edoardo signature entrees like Chicken Marsala, Veal Saltimbocca or pasta dishes topped with Da Edoardo’s own sauces. Steaks, chops, and seafood items are available at lunch and dinner along with individual pizzas to be shared as an appetizer or as a full course entree.  For starters, the Minestrone Soup, a creamy version of the Italian favorite, is a can’t miss.  It’s one of the Barbieri’s most treasured recipes.

Delight your palate with sophisticated culinary creations, chock full of award winning classics with modern twists. Da Edoardo’s menu features spectacular appetizers and large Italian-sized portions at great prices.  It is one of Michigan’s most phenomenal dining destinations.
